Thankfully, it sounds like Newman survived, and his injuries aren’t life-threatening. I watched the crash in real time and thought that we for sure lost Ryan Newman. Especially when I saw the black covers on the track, the lack of news, etc. Thankfully I was wrong. We’ll still need to learn more details, but it seems like the safety measures put in after Dale Earnhardt’s death may very well have saved Newman’s life.
